GM Records certified APCP
Agreement of the companies which participate in this program aims at uniting producers and manufacturers of optical carriers who fight against piracy and promote the idea of the right for intellectual property protection. Participants of the program, by joining it, declare and assure full protection and legality of the duplicated carriers. Thanks to exclusive membership and implementation of IRMA procedures, clients of the associated companies can be sure that their carriers will be appropriately protected and secured from illegal copying.
- APCP is another very important element in our strategy of development and operations of GM Records. Our priority is clients’ satisfaction with our top quality products and the certificate we have obtained will surely allow us to find new companies with which we will cooperate successfully. The fact that GM Records is an official member of APCP is a double success for us. First of all, we are now the only certified CD & DVD manufacture in Poland. Secondly, we underwent the certification audit with no errors whatsoever, which is surely a rarity in the global scale - says Marek Grela, owner of GM Records.
GM Records started implementing the program in August 2006. After an audit which was carried out in March 2007, the company completed accession procedure positively and obtained the certificate.
- The fact that GM Records joined the extending circle of Anti-Piracy Compliance Program members is very optimistic. GM Records was the first Polish company to acknowledge competence of the program which supports activities of the media industry in order to prevent publication illegal materials and protect intellectual property rights - says Theo G. Köhler, APCP director in Europe.
The anti-piracy program which is supervised by IRMA, is broadly known and many companies and institutions from Europe, North America, South-Eastern America, South Africa and Asia choose to implement it.
IRMA Anti-Piracy Compliance Program (APCP) is a branch program of companies’ certification which makes it possible to reduce risk of illegal copying of optical carriers’ content which is protected by law. Protection standards established by the program are respected and acknowledged by the biggest companies – members of IRMA as well as by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), Motion Picture Association (MPA), Business Software Alliance (BSA), Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), Digital Software Association (DSA), International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) and Microsoft. The Program is also supported by International Video Federation (IVF), Bureau International des Sociétés Gérant les Droits d'Enregistrement et de Reproduction Mécanique (BIEM) and Bescherming Rechten Entertainment Industrie Nederland (BREIN).
