GM Records chosen by Caritas Poland
The charity concert “Let’s Defeat the Wave” will take place on February 6 this year in the Theatre Square in Warsaw. Its organizers are: the Caritas Poland, the Polish Television (TVP) and the Capital City of Warsaw. More than 60 stars of the Polish musical scene will perform on the stage for about four hours.
- Nobody can sit quietly by such a great tragedy. I am glad that our appeal directed to all hearts has met such a great response. Everybody wanted to join this great act of help. Each moment we were receiving new information about the ideas and institutions which also wanted to give something from them. Everything was taking place very quickly and spontaneously. That is why we often faced problems of a clearly organizational nature. One of them was a problem with the pressing of CDs which were supposed to be distributed and for which the donations were supposed to be collected during the concert. The top Polish artists were the first to come. The song was recorded and the clip was produced. Everything was ready, but still at the beginning of the week we did not have a company which would press such a big edition within such a short period of time. Luckily, that problem was also solved. Thanks to the employees’ engagement and GM Records’ technology we managed to do it on time – says Father Zdzisław Świniarski, the Deputy to the President of Caritas Poland.
GM Records will produce CDs with the song “Let’s Defeat the Wave”. They will be sold during the concert as donations. After the concert, it will be possible to buy them in the parishes.
Almost all the top stars of the Polish musical scene took part in the song recording. Grzegorz Cugowski, Kayah, Grzegorz Markowski, Maryla Rodowicz, Justyna Steczkowska, Anna Maria Jopek, Zbigniew Wodecki, Katarzyna Nosowska, Paweł Kukiz, Urszula, Artur Gadowski, Irena Santor, Michał Wiśniewski – to present only some names of the artists participating in the clip production.
- We are very satisfied that we can make such a contribution to help the victims of such a tragedy. The undertaking commissioned to us by Caritas was a big challenge. We got a very short deadline to complete the order. However, the idea, our employees’ engagement and technology helped us be on time. Thanks to that, everyone who wants to join and help will receive a souvenir – a limited edition CD - says Matylda Nosowska, Marketing Specialist at GM Records.
The concert is a part of informative campaign initiated by the Caritas Poland and the Polish Television (TVP) and whose aim is to popularise the idea of “Adoption at Distance” within the Polish society. More information about the campaign is available on the web site: www.caritas.pl.
