Amongst the most recent titles produced are “The Gun Seller” by Hugh Laurie, “Bajki Krasickiego” and “Fototapeta” by Michał Witkowski, winner of the “Paszport Polityki” (a prestigious Polish award) – better known for the publication of Lubiewo, also “Dżuma w Breslau” by Marek Krajewski. The above titles were manufactured for the publisher Biblioteka Akustyczna Sp. z o.o. The earlier portfolio also includes “Kacperiada”, Rosyjski Kochanek”, “Zielony Trabant”, “Kocie Historie” and “Dziewczyny z Portofino”. “Poczekajka” by Katarzyna Michalak was recently produced for the publisher Wydawnictwo Albatros Andrzej Kuryłowicz. Amongst earlier titles are Tess Gerristen’s “The Autopsy”, Frederick Forsyth’s “The Afghan”, James Patterson’s “Beach Road” and “Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro. Books are read for us by for example Maria Peszek, Zbigniew Zapasiewicz and Maria Maj.
Audio book bestsellers have also been produced for the publisher Wydawnictwo Muza S.A., for whom we have prepared amongst others a re-issue of “Norwegian Wood”, “The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle” and “Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World” by Haruki Murakami, “My Sweet Orange Tree” by José Mauro de Vasconcelos, “The Shadow of the Wind” by Carlos Ruiz Zafón and “The Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien amongst others.
The audio book market is gaining more and more customers and, bearing in mind reasons such as for example the huge traffic jams in the largest Polish cities, you can say that there’s nothing strange about this. There is more and more interest in this type of production.
